I don't see it as too pricey for a 550 sized scooter. hell the mp3 is 11,999 as well.

I agree with OAD. The price really isn't out of line for what it is. Heck, a 2-wheeled Kymco 550 is only about a grand less.

For $500 less you can get the cool 2 wheel version like Bob Copeland's.

Unlike every other Kymco scoot I've tried to fit on, I might be able to ride this. I prolly won't, but I think I could.

I like that quite a bit. the geometry of the tilting front end highlighted in the video is interesting.

I've seen the AK550 up close at my local dealer and it's quite nice. Kymco has been upping their game in the last 5 years.

Gawd I think it's so ugly. Even uglier than the MP3. Why do they always have to make them look like megatronic transformers when they could make something sylish, sleek and interesting instead?

Fugly, looks like a mobility scooter and cumbersome to ride, all the risk of two wheels without the razor sharp handling of 2 wheels, hard to make the argument that form follows function on these monstrosities.
But I suspect these are probably piloted by interesting, well heeled, first adopting techies that also have one of these….

Have you ridden an MP3?

I have had MP3s since 2007. The handling is quite sharp and there is some risk reduction built in with better front traction.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like how mine looks.

That parasail does look like fun, though.
