On pulling up at a junction on my 1984 px125 dropping the revs to change gear it just dies.. any ideas as its embarrasing having to keep kickstarting...
Never a bad idea to pull the carb to bits and give it a thorough cleaning.
I would also add, checking your electrical connections. Clean them up, add some conductive grease and adjust and grease the cables as well. Check and gap plug.
What is state of tank too ? Check corrosion, I've replaced my 1987 tank finally as had constant running issues like this often after fuel been in a week , agitates the rust. Also how old is the fuel? You can spend so much time thinking carb or electrics , but not so much attention to the fact E5 and especially E10 can go off very quickly .
E5 is what I use on both my scoots. What is the tank condition inside , have you shone torch in it when fuel low? Can you see brown specs on the tank wall? Clean your carb and jets , air filter, dial in your pilot mix screw with throttle stop and get that correct.
