Just picked up an engine for my 61 Motovespa 150s project, and apparently it is from a 1986 PX125EFL .

Other than an electric start model, what are the difference between it and a normal PX125 ?

Thanks

the gears, axle (and shims), cross & selector. the tree is may be slightly different gearing. clutch might be cosa. the rear hub is different-- it still mounts the same, just takes a different diameter seal

the axle bearing and seal are on the inside of the case.

some of the loose gears are exclusively EFL, and some interchange.

other than that, it's all standard P stuff.

My 86 px125 efl did not have the internal oil seal. You kind of have to open it to see what you've got, a lot of rolling changes in that time period.

That would be an early EFL case. The later model EFL had a few differences...nothing major though

oh, and something I forgot. because it's EFL and kind of sort of a transitional year, when you go to order anything for the cushdrive confirm the size of the spindle and bearing.
