I have a Stella/LML Star that I've been rebuilding. I recently bought a new headlight switch for it but the switch is set up differently and uses different wire colors.

Can anyone tell me what each color wire does?

I've attached a picture of the back of the PX and Stella switches side by side. The circles on the Stella switch represents which color wire goes in that spot.

Moved to the Not-So-Modern forum, where you will hopefully get the appropriate help.

First thing to do is get the Stella wiring diagram (attached). It will tell you all you need to know.

Then, you need to clarify what you're trying to do, because it doesn't make sense from that picture, assuming you still have a Stella harness.

On the Stella,
- gray is AC into the switch from the regulator,
- violet and brown are low beam and hi beam out to the headlight, respectively.
- Black is ground
- Yellow is to the horn.

On the PX side, I'm a little unsure exactly how you think that's going to work. Which PX switch do you have? Looking at a PX200E wiring diagram, it had its light on the other side, so are you planning on bringing the wires across from the throttle side, or installing the switch upside down?

On the Stella, what you have in the PX switch would be:
- kill switch (green)
- right blinker (pink)
- brake light switch (purple)
- left blinker (brown)
- Ground (black)

Thank you so much. I just want to re-wire the PX switch with the Stella Harness.
