Today I was riding back to my house after two days in Manhattan. It's a 35 mile ride, and sometimes can take an hour with traffic but there is a way to try to avoid that by taking another route. At 72nd St I hopped on Riverside drive to take it 7 miles north to the bridge. Another fellow Vespa rider pulled up next to me. Full face helmet too - and rode next to me the entire time - even when there were moments where we had to stop at stop lights…….we just kind of nodded.

Then we both flew over the bridge - and went our separate ways and gave each other a beep.

I know it's silly to share this, but I thought it was super cool.

Ridden not hidden folks.

Ride reports and wrenching, my 2 favorite MV things πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

Took my daughter to the beach today to get photos for her 🎨
Left some meat on the bone though by not bringing the snorkeling gear, surf was low, visibility was about 20 feet, a perfect day

Are you talking about the GW Bridge? I would be scared shitless to try that on my Scoot. I avoid that bridge at all costs - even If I have to go over the Tappan Zee or I84 bridges, it's worth the time. And I HATE the cross Bronx too!!!

Hey!! Yes, I go over the GWB a few times a week. On my GTS it's no issue at all, I even used to do it on my ET4 that I had for 15 years. I am uneasy on the FDR and haven't ever taken the Cross Bronx thank God. I would hate that. The GWB is kind of dreamy when there is not any traffic (like early on a Sunday AM).

I really enjoy my commute because I get some fun city riding when in Manhattan (yes the traffic can totally suck sometimes) but then once I am across the GWB I take RT 9W north to where I live and the roads are windy and fun and such a different experience then NYC.
