I need a new battery for my Pre Leader 125cc ET4.

Up until now I've used a Yuasa YB9-B 12v 9Ah(10HR) battery.

Is there anything better I should be using?

Anyone know of any Lithium Ion options available?

Are you using the Vespa regularly all year?

With lead, you're only meant to discharge them down to 50% charge, so your 9ah battery effectively becomes a 4.5ah battery.

With lithium, you can use it right down to say 5% charge.

The issue is a lot of lithium companies will make a 4.5ah battery and instead of describing it 4.5ah, will instead say "9ah equivalent" as you're using all the lithium charge, vs only 50% of the lead battery.

So you have to dig around a bit to actually find out which lithium battery has the best capacity.

Lithium's main pro is that is doesn't discharge much week by week, and doesn't get damaged if left discharged for a while. Lead naturally discharges a bit per week - so you need to use the Vespa for a ride every 3-4 weeks.
