Does anyone know the correct name for the flat square clips that hold the bezel in place on a GTS 300, and how to remove them? I'm thinking that I can pry them up the small post to remove. Thanks in advance...

C clips or spring clips. There are tools for them, like pliers that work backwards.

I think this is the correct answer. For me, removing the panel tends to remove the clip too!

Are you asking about the clips that hold the bezel that surrounds the instrument cluster? If so, they can be popped off with a jewelers screwdriver. A 5 mm socket will press them back in place. The VHB adhesive tape under the bezel can be softened with a hair dryer so you can pry the bezel up enough to use a razor blade to slice through the tape.

Edit: Looked at my invoice, Scooterwest describes the part as a "PLATE BADGE CLIP (D3 X 3)."

Right those are standard Flat Rectangular Push On Clips, there are also starlock clips or flower clips that basically do the same job, these are commonly only a one shot clip thrown away and a new one used you can get packs of them for a little price, but you still need a hook and pick set to remove them.
Cheers.
