I am incredibly bad at the whole search thing and apologize profusely for this post, but I need info on options for a "performance" seat for my Rally 180. I really super d duper don't want to get rid of my tall Rally tank because I believe it's cooler than it actually is and that it's the tank that the bike should have!

The stock seat has the wonderful metal cross bar that sits riiiiight where I wanna plant my toosh and after a bunch of miles it starts to just kill.

Thanks much guys and gals!

I run the tall tank on my 59 Allstate and use this seat, I really really like it.

For a completely different reason I ran across this and it might be food for thought as it covers all the seat options

you sure your seat is stock?

The stock Rally seat is one of the most comfortable seats I know, just as good as the stock GS and SS seats.

But...All the aftermarket covers look the part but the foam is way too soft.

I do 300+ mile days on mine with no issues.

Yeah, I'm just in the middle of rebuilding a Rally seat and the right foam is what I'm having trouble finding.

My vote also for Nisa Wave. I have it on my P and like it very much.

Oh I'm quite sure it's the stock seat. The thing is I tend to ride more in the middle of the seat and that's right where the cross member thingy is located.

I've pretty much always found after market seats that are just foam far more comfortable to ride on.

Would need to see the underside, but appears to be good to go. But like you said, that price is bonkers!

I like this seat because it is firm and does not contain springs. It's all foam on a plastic tray which will not rust away.

My LML Star 200 4T have very similar seat. It looks ugly but absolutely the best for long trips. Done on it 600-700km per day for 4-5 days in a row without any problems. As for me the main problem of new aftermarket seats is that the foam is too soft even when seat looks like original one. Noticed few times that original old PX or PK seats is much more comfy than similar new aftermarket ones.

I'm in a similar position, Rally 200 though with a Super Corsa seat so running a flat tank.

I've found these though - https://www.streamlineseats.de/site/en/Sport/rally.html - and apparently they will fit with the raised tank etc - I emailed the maker a while back to get shipping to Australia.

Pretty pricey though look like they are worth it (plus the hinge is a thing of beauty).

One day I'll get one - haha

Minus the price, that's an absolutely perfect seat for what I want to do with my scoot!
