Hey all. Any tips or trick on how to remove a t5 front fender. All hardware has been removed and the fender moves freely however I cannot seem to manipulate the fender over the steering blocks or bottom race of steering bearing.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Stupid question but I assume the fork's out?? Twist it at an angle to first clear the "end" block and then do the same to pass the bottom bearing…

Yes. The fork is out. Hahaha. Imagine if it wasn't?

I tried manipulating snd turning the fender to get it over the obstacles. But no dice.

It's a bit tricky. Went down to the garage. Although it's a plastic PX mudguard (thicker) you get the idea...

A few fenders I have had couldn't clear the lower metal dust shield. The lower bearing race had to come off, then the dust shield, then the fender could be removed.
Major PITA.

But if it clears like Safis' shows, you are golden.

Really strange. Never had to remove the bottom bearing even on the newer models...

I hope it's as easy as safis makes it look.

I really don't want to remove that bottom race.

Can't remove the fender on a VNA/VNB without removing the dust shield and race. Such a pain in the butt.

Hey everyone. Thanks for your replies. After watching the video demonstration above, I was able to remove the fender.

Thanks again.

Cheers.
