I am in the process of replacing my PX125 engine bearings and seals and while I was cleaning the gear cluster to prepare it for re-install I noticed that I can slide the bearing on and off the shaft by hand with no force.

Is this normal? Given that all the other ball bearings have to be pressed in or pulled out using tools, this does seem odd to me...

Does not sound normal if you are talking about the main shaft bearing that sits right next to the wheel hub.

Yeah not normal.

Either the bearing or shaft is worn or both.

Usually test it with a new bearing. If it slides on, it's time to replace the driveshaft.
