Hi all,

Daughter's 2004 ET2 only starts using the kickstarter.
Battery SEEMS to be in good condition 13.6 no-load, 11.5V during start-load.
Cylinder has just been changed (original), carbs cleaned & adjusted, exhaust cleaned, new spark plug (all done by reputable service). When pushing start button, it cranks over really well, but no sign of firing up whatsoever. Couple of gentle stomps on the kickstarter has it running in no time. When engine has really warmed up, it will start with start-button. Only 98 octane fuel being used, and Motul 2T oil. Service guy says crankshaft bearings seems bad, and might cause the issue. Not sure I think the same, as it starts so easily with the kick. Another think I notice is that red engine light goes off very quicly, when turning on ignition. Is that how it should be? New Yuasa battery ordered, and on it's way, just in case battery is guilty.

Any bright ideas would be highly appreciated

Thanks!

I think the battery you have is fine, those are good numbers. I would be looking into any connections to do with the starting as you say it works fine when warmed up.
