I'm considering the Shark Evo one 2.
Looking for thoughts from those that have or have worn this helmet.

Good and bad.

I have it currently, been using it for almost three years now.

The good: the ability to put the chin part to the back of the helmet. That's absolutely fantastic and the main reason I will buy another one when this one is at the end of its safety lifespan.

The bad (1): a self-destroying visor. Tolerances are SO tight, that when you open the visor, it scratches past the helmet and thus the pinlock gets scratched right away. Basically you need to change the pinlock every season. This is a design error that's been acknowledged by Shark and it should be corrected in the current version, if you buy one now. At least, that's what they promise. I hope they're right, because it's pretty annoying.

The bad (2): the insert that's on top of my head completely ruins my hair. I'm not that vain, but it looks so terrible that I really cannot use it to visit a client, unless I can enter a bathroom right away after wearing the helmet, get my hair all wet and scrub it with a towel. Really, it's stupid. Never had that with another helmet.

Will I buy it again? Yes, unless there's another brand that fits my narrow head just as well and has and equally great chin-to-the-back mechanism.

Mopmop,

Great info. Exactly what I was wanting- first hand of the good/bad.

I tried on a LS2 modular that was very similar in look and style (forget the model variant advant) with a similar price. It was a little tight and I'm not too familiar with LS2. I took a chance on sizing and fit and ordered the Shark. Fingers crossed.

I tried on a Shark Evo-One 2 a couple of years ago. It has a very definite oval shape and did not fit my head. I'd say anyone interested needs to try one on to confirm fit and comfort level.

I currently have the Shark Evo GT. have had a couple of previous generation Evo and Evoline.

I really like while putting a modular on it's is easier and less claustrophobic than a full face.

sadly Mopmop's comment about the pinlock dying happens to me also. Whereas his comment about hair - it's fine for me with my mop.
