This 2003 Stella came to me as the second half of a two-scoot purchase. I wanted the other scoot (1966 smallframe), and a friend verbally committed to buy this one off me after I had a chance to go through it mechanically. They backed out, which left me with it.

It's been repainted pearlescent white at some point, which I wish showed up better in the pictures because it's a nice color. It has some garage wear, i.e. various small scratches that it has picked up since the respray, but no dents or obvious marks.

A Previous Owner semi-rebadged it as a Vespa. It has a Vespa speedometer and seat, along with a Piaggio shield on the horncast. It still has the Stella badging on the legshield, though, so go figure.

In the meantime, I've rebuilt the motor (seals, bearings, cruciform), fixed some electrical faults, and installed new tires and tubes.

Mechanically, it has the Stella/LML reed motor with autolube and a PX 150 cylinder and exhaust, so it's a little faster than a stock Stella, but not remarkably so. Compared to my true vintage Vespas, it's a really smooth ride and the front disc is definitely superior.

It's been sitting for a couple months and still started first kick yesterday.
