Hi Guys

Hope everyone is well.. as the title says i happen to have experienced this while only leaning right as i go around a round about.. a bit bizarre.. it starts like a wobble then the right hand front wheel somewhat losses momentary grip. The left side not so much. i never had any of this when using my other bikes going around a round about.. mp3 is very stable though on high speed..

However i noticed that when i put a bit of counter steer (as if driving my Suzuki Intruder Trike) it sorts it out. Do i need to worry about anything? Or this is the nature of this scoot? I have checked the bearing play on both front wheels and they are ok. Also the parallelogram and steering action are smooth.
One thing i noticed though is the rear tyres are a bit squared/ flat profiled in the middle. I bought the MP3 secondhand so it came to me like this. Would the rear tyre have any effect on the front two wheels? Thanks in advance for your advise guys!!

If your rear tire is worn to the point of having a flat area you need to replace it. Yes. A flattened rear wheel can make a bike feel squirrely in curves.

The Mp3 needs to be counter-steered like any other motorcycle otherwise its going to be unstable.

It might be worth getting the suspension checked and making sure the pre-set is correct on the rear shock-absorbers. If this does in fact only happen on right-turns / leans and not left-turns / leans then I would wonder if the suspension is okay. Bad shock-absorbers can also cause the bike to feel unstable in a corner especially if the roads are roughly paved.

Also check the tires are properly inflated to the right pressure. A worn down center combined with lots of highway (tarmac) riding can wear down the tires much faster. I keep a mini-pump with my bike at all times so I can add or reduce pressure for road conditions or when I'm doing long highway rides to reduce wear.

The counter steer on a normal motorcycle is an intuitive movement that you do..you almost don't notice you are doing it.. but with my MP3 you really feel a bit of weight doing the counter steer.. like i riding a Delta Trike.. i will check my tire pressures and if not sorted i will look into the suspensions.. i have ordered a new rear tyre as well. Wobble or no wobble i will replace it due to the flat profile in the middle anyways. Thanks guys..
