Hi all
Working on my brother gts 2010 250
Been sitting needed a battery he bought one and I installed it
He drove around the block seemed ok except horn would not work?
The next morning it was dead so I put the volt meter on it and it was like 2volts

Returned the battery and they put it on the trickle charger for two days and said something drained the battery.
Installed and this is my test log:

George gts250 oct 14
Battery was 12.7 Volts before installation after 12.5 started
Same when engine running and reveing up and drove to my house 12.4 at noon

Checked at 5pm 12.4 checked at 8pm 12.39 noticed red flashing code light
Checked Sunday oct 15 morning 10am 12.2 volts barely started
Started and 11.3 volts when running shut off and would barely start
Dis connected and put on charger at 11.88 volts
1:33 pm on charger for 2 hours 12.54volts
5pm 12.8 volts
Monday morning 7am oct 16
13.2 Volta removed charger
5pm 12.99 volts
Tuesday morning 12.94 Volts
Evening 8:40 pm 12.91 volts
Wednesday morning 12.87 volts
Thursday morning 12.85 volts

Battery an bench seems to hold juice

My questions are:
Is this code light supposed to be blinking when no key is inserted?
Is the charging system failed?

I asked by brother about it and he said idk kinda clue less
It's supposed to be put in the shop for broken seat latch cable but want to get this charging thing straightened out want to drive it to shop just too lazy to put it in the truck lol
Tried to post a video of the code light but MV don't like large files
Thanks for any tips or advice

Do a search here for common problem, rectifier or voltage regulator and do the trouble shooting for that with hope that you do not have to change it. That was my problem with similar symptoms.

is there any accessories hooked up? if so disconnect them from the battery or power feed.

yes that red blinking light is normal and usually blinks for 48 hrs after turning the key off.
