Hello everyone, I would like to change the oil on my mp3 250 and am a bit confused. I understand being in the Midwest I should use. 5- 40 full synthetic do I need to go scooter oil specifically or will motorcycle oil do the same job? If a scooter oil is needed can it be purchased at an O'Reilly's or AutoZone or do I have to order it online. Also, any specifics on hub oil? Thanks in advance.

Use what the manual says is the best answer/approach.
The manual will specify certain standards that the oil should meet. It will also specify weight for the temperature in your region.
You will need to get information about the temperature in your region somewhere else.

Agip city grip hitec 4T is what the manual states if I remember correctly, is that a certain brand or should I just look for something that says 4T?

Your owner's manual will give you options for weight, depending on your ambient temperature. It'll say something like 5W40 4T API SL.

5w40 is the weight
API/SL is the grade/additive package (it changes every couple of years as refining standards change). API is an American grading system, JASO is the Japanese grading system, etc.
4T means 4 stroke engine oil.

The information will be printed on the bottle.

I have been using for the last 6+ years Castrol full synthetic 5-40 4T in my scooters including 2 that have the same engine as yours. I buy it by the 6 pack on Amazon

I also use a HiFlo 197 oil filter as it has a 14 or 17 mm hex nut on end to make install/removal easy

You can buy hub oil at your local auto parts store.
