I know it has to be my "imagination" but, after I performed my 1st service on my 2023 Vespa GTS and reset the wrench 🔧 maintenance icon - it seems to run better, freer...
Does the electronic ignition map get altered from this procedure?

No. Placebo effect, unless it was done at the dealer and there was an ECU remap / update involved...

Runs better after a good washing, too. Unless you get water in the wrong place in the engine, at which point it doesn't run at all.

Do 2023 model year Vespe get a "break-in oil"?

A little over a decade ago I worked for a KYMCO dealer and our bikes had break-in oils. After your first service (usually 1,000 km I think), you would start running the usual, recommended oil for your motor.

IF Vespa is still shipping bikes with thicker break in oils, and now you've switched it out to something lighter, it's possible your bike could not only perform different, but even sound different.

IF Vespa doesn't than it might just be all in your head. Or you washed it.

What series of button pushes and info stick movements were used to turn the wrench off?

I couldn't find a way to do it in the manual.
