Never used them on a vintage bike. Don't see much of a reason to either.

I did have them on a GTS250 at one time. I did not notice a difference.

I have them on my smallframe, they help a lot to remove the buzz of vibration. I intend to add a brass weight inside the grip area of the bars if/when I change out the grips.
