My tilt lock motor failed on the mp3, since the motor failed, I could not get the tilt lock to unlock. So I was stuck, luckily I was at home.

Once I figured out how to replace it, it was fairly easy. Hardest part to figure out was how to get the potentiometer/rotation sensor lined back up, because it was locked when I took it off, so it released when I removed the motor.
Parts mp3 save me again.
Mp3's back on the road.

It was the wiper motor I replaced. I had a spare tilt lock assembly from another scooter and used that motor.
But because it was locked with the old motor on. It released when I took the motor off. So I had to make sure the shaft that drove the rotation sensor was still in the right position. Because it moved when I took the old motor out.
All I had to do though was cycle the motor manually with 12 volts to get it in the right position, and then the sensor lined up.
I should have never taken the sensor out. I forgot why I got to that point. But the sensor was out when I took the old motor out.
