What year did the 150 engine change from carburetor to fuel injection? Any particular issues to be aware of?

It's a little convoluted because it's based on model year (MY) which is production year not year sold.

There are also some models that are "hold overs" where basically they were using up the rest of the carb stuff until switching to EFI.

I wanna say the '08-'09 LX150s were carbureted, but had a fuel pump.

That describes my '09 S 150, an LX variant.

The bigger change was the 3v engine around about 2012.

I'd be tempted to try and go for a Primavera / Sprint. They've run from about 2012 right up to the current day, so you've got a very large selection in terms of third party accessories and parts if needed. The 150's will also all be fuel injected.
