Hello all,

I have a 2002 px 200 and it appears as though my center stand is busted. From my viewpoint it seems like a rod in the stand is busted, so I will need to purchase a new stand, but not the attachment hardware.

Would anyone mind looking at a photo to confirm my initial diagnostic: which is that I WONT need all the hardware and just stand? Or, am I incorrect in my assumption? If I am incorrect, would you mind pointing it out to me where (in reference to the photos)?

Thank you for your help

While you're there, you might as well buy a replacement spring too.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking to replace the spring too. Thank you for your help. I just ordered it. Hopefully install won't be too daunting!

The tricky part is installing the spring.
If you don't have the tool, make a loop at the end of a few feet of solid picture hanging wire and tie the other end around a dowel or maybe a broomstick. Fix one of the spring hooks to the stand connection and feed the other end hook through the loop.
Get a friend to pull it from behind while you guide it into position.

2 days later!! What a pain in the ass!! Here I was all impressed with myself because I was able to replace my clutch a while back. In a reasonable amount of time.

And then it takes me two days to install a center-stand. There you go. Good news is my stand is working great.

Thank you for your help!
