Modern Vespa

A little Italian bird told me that finally the original heated grips and heated seat are available (or will be available in the next few days) in Europe. The following components are needed for the GTS 125 MY23 or GTS 300 MY23 as SuperSport or SuperTech:

Heated grips:

Heated seat:

Heated grips and seat:

ATTENTION: For the GTS Classic MY23 and GTS Super MY23 the following components MUST be retrofitted in addition:

So far there are no official photos for grips and/or seat, at least none known to me. The grips COULD be the same as the heated grips for the Piaggio Beverly/MP3 (but I don't know yet). Of course, with the heated seat, the color, pattern and stitching is particularly interesting... Let's wait and see....

Before anyone asks, no, the heated grips and/or heated seat can NOT be retrofitted to the pre-facelift GTS (until 2022). As shown above, the prerequisite for the heated accessories is the Vespa Multimedia Platform 3.0 (VMP) and this is according to Vespa only compatible from MY23.

Well, 99€ for heated grips is reasonable, 299€ for the heated seat is also okay. The problem is the control unit or the cable set for it...

and the pmp3. eg the full set for a basic gts is a hell of a lot

Believe me, when I write "there are no pictures yet" (for grips and/or seat), I have googled before.... You're right: this is the correct picture with correct SKU (but it's different to picture at af1)

I had my BMW seat reupholstered by a local automotive and marine upholstery place for like $20. If I really didn't want to get my hands dirty I could have them put a $22 amazon heating pad under there...

Hmm... Not the worst idea I've had... Plenty of convenient places to put the seat switch.

I've had both of them on order for some time. Hopefully they will arrive soon as it is projected to get to 28f the next few nights. Price for seat and grips I thought reasonable but the wiring harness is ridiculous. Damn that seat is ugly compared to my stock 2023 Super Sport seat. Maybe I can switch the covers. Otherwise Cheeky Seats I will go.

Edit since replacing my faulty OEM battery my iPhone 14 Pro Max has been connecting without issue to the Bluetooth module and the Piaggio app. Frankly it was connecting to the module before but the iPhone app wasn't connecting. Piaggio really needs to hire or contract with better developers.
