The exhaust header should have a collar on the header pipe that was an attempt to direct leaking exhaust gases away from rear brake line. In past a leaking exhaust gasket could melt the brake line
The lamda sensor should be above this collar. However perhaps the wiring to it got damaged from hot gases. Would be area to check
The wiring did not get damaged. The sensor is being replaced.--thanks Jim
