An automotive question:
I had a maniac in front of my car last night. He'd just passed 3 of us over the double yellow in a residential area of the city.
Now he is ripped because we are at one of the longest stop lights in this town.
He is close behind a cement truck.
Then he begins to light the rear tires of his Chrysler 300 station wagon. They are smoking, and wailing, his car is fish-tailing....but he is essentially staying in place. Still inches from the truck in front of him.
My question is this:
How does one do this?
I know these Chrysler's have big engines - so he had to be over-riding the rear brakes with the gas pedal, yes? Is this possible in a normal car?
I was sooo hoping he'd ram that cement truck! But alas, he didn't, the light turned and he smoked his tires in a right turn and sped off.
I thought stuff like that was only possible in a dragster set-up. 'Hold the front brakes, spin the tires.'

* crazed Ohioans....in the past month I've had 3 drivers angrily rip past me over double yellows in a posted 35....because I dared to drive 35 in the dark
