Seems I have a break in the wire between the key antenna and the ECU.

It's a cub. it'll be good for twice that without a service.

I'd argue the fact that the engine only holds 1 Litre of oil and it's exclusively used on the highway while running close to WOT for much of the time is enough for me to walk away.

I have completed the full round of paxlovid, and at this point I feel okay. I am still stuffed up, but am otherwise fine.

Glad you're feeling okay. Could that be a false positive?

This is I think the fourth one. The first one was sharply positive (line showed up almost immediately) and then the next two, shortly after completing all the doses of paxlovid, were both very very faint. This one is sharply positive again (clear line showed up less than a minute into the ten minute wait time).

Hmmm - the likelihood of four false positives has to be pretty darn slim.

Do what the nice doctor says, and if he wants to use a wooden stick to check your throat, make sure it's a new one

Last summer both Mrs. CLE and I got Covid even after five inoculations. Like you, we immediately started Paxlovid. We were "sick" for one day. However, we continued to test= positive for three - four weeks after. I think that the long + testing is not unusual.

At my work (large mid-western hospital system) they are advising us to return to work as soon as symptoms subside and without regard to test results.

Hope you have similar fast recovery.

So, just posted my old garden tiller for sale on FB. Not 10 minutes later I got an offer for the asking price. I'm not up on all the scams out there, but it didn't pass the smell test. Checked the person's profile, two photos and NOTHING else.

Edit: Just got another offer to pick up "with cash." Out of area phone #, pretty much blank FB profile. What's up with these people? Maybe I'm old fashioned, but every other transaction has had a short conversation and wanting to set up; a meeting to actually see the item before buying it. It's not like I'm giving it away....that gets interesting as well.....

This morning I visited Boots the Chemist/Opticians specifically to buy some Anti Fog Lens Wipes.

I found some and then headed to the check outs where the Assistant said to me " You know that these are Anti Fog Lens Wipes ?"

I took my glasses off my face and sort of brandished them in my right hand while saying " You know these glasses you sold me ? Well, they work"

We were trying to find decent mangos yesterday after our favorite international market closed. It's not as easy as it might seem....

So, stopped in an Asian market I knew of, and on the way to the checkout saw a round package that reminded me of a treat I've purchased before, with sesame seeds in a sweet chewy substrate. Assuming it was something similar, I grabbed a package. Got it home, broke off a piece and popped it in my mouth. NOT sweet, not chewy. Clearly meant to be cooked.

That was bad enough. Looking at the package today, the back didn't help...

Yeah, it can get bizarre. I remember, decades back standing in a downtown LA hotel (the Bonaventure for locals), looking up and seeing a tiny plaque saying "This building contains materials lnown to cause cancer" and I'm like, "WHAT????

Disneyland was terrifying.

Both at once! I can't imagine! During my whole ordeal I've been thinking things like: What if I was 75 and weaker trying to do this? What if my other leg wasn't strong? What if I had bad shoulders and couldn't use crutches? You, my friend, are my new cause. What can we do to help. I'm 2 days short of 4 weeks on my total knee. I can walk on my own but use a cane for stability. God's been good.
I don't know how you deal with things but I had to get angry again. Angry at the knee, angry at the pain, angry at the hours of rehab. It motivates me. It makes me push. I hope you find what it is that motivates you to get through this. I'm guessing with both knees it's going to take a while. PM me if you need personal support.

Disneyland was a great bane to my existence. My mother and step father both worked there at the same time in the mid to late 70's.

I haven't been to Disneyland for many years and am not planning to go any time soon, but way back when it was really pretty small and actually charming, at least if your parents didn't work there. There used to be a ride called Monsanto's Adventure Through Inner Space where you got in a little car and rode along in the dark to be shrunk down to visit the inside of a molecule and it also served as a sort of "Tunnel of Love" kind of ride where you could go in with a girl and come out a different person, if you were 15.

My friends Stew and Heidi wrote a song about those times there, but it's also just about any great times you had as a kid.
