Well.... Tierney asked for Pics and I looked and realized I had none. So I took some today. I also remember why I have none. Before this forum, I did not know the Bodge thing existed. I looked at my scoot after it was together and saw it has a bit of Bogery to it. I am a bit embarrassed to post pics but I like what I have that is not period so I am keeping it for now. My Bodge list is as follows:
10" Rims not 8's, Glove Box behind the leg shield and the trim on the Cowlings. The thing was a total basket case as seen in the first 2 pics. Here is goes... sorry if it's posted in the wrong forum if someone could bump it the correct area that would be great too. Bare Frame Right

Government-funded health care.
Been waiting since april for a filling they deemed "nearly emergent" yet every time i try to get on the books they realize I'm done 30 sep so at this point it's quite obvious they're kicking the can til they can say 'oh not our problem anymore!' and nobody above em seems to give a rat's bunghole. Can't even provide for 1% of the population and people think they should do it for everyone?

(tl;dr: My office manager didn't read an email listing the specific ink that I desperately needed for a printer, and now the printer is unusable until more ink arrives.)
On August 15 I emailed my Office Manager to let her know that our Canon GP-4000 Wide Format printer was Very Low on a specific color of ink. I even set the text in the email as red and bold to draw attention to it. Last Monday (8/19) I mentioned it to her again (because I had forgotten that I'd emailed her) and she said that all the inks were on order. On Monday we started printing a large order (75 each of two 18x24 posters). I was able to print 39 sets before it completely ran out of the ink I had asked her to order. Yesterday I switched to our other printer, a Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR. It's a great printer, but is incredibly slow. Today the ink shipment arrived. It included everything except the one color I needed. When I asked the office manager about it, she said that our boss had ordered the ink, and that she wasn't aware that we needed the one that we were out of. I couldn't remember if I had verbally told her about the ink or had written it down, so I searched my email history and found that aforementioned email, and printed it out. When I gave it to her, she didn't remember seeing it. She has since started the order process for two cartridges of that ink, but in the meantime the printer sits unusable. |

Can't even provide for 1% of the population and people think they should do it for everyone? We get to bank hours so that if you have worked enough you can be out of work for a year without insurance expiring and of course you can change employers multiple times and have no gaps in coverage. We always had problems with the insurance company, it seemed like they never wanted to provide and they would delay delay delay just like you talk about. I did hear from some members that had catastrophic problems that the insurance did pretty good. The problem with medical insurance in USA is we have none of the benefits of capitalism, there is no competition or incentive to provide better care and none of the benefits of socialism. It cost's through the nose and lots of people aren't covered or are under covered. So many countries around the world do so much better providing their citizens with medical coverage than the USA and that's what most of us want is just better coverage at reasonable prices. When I was working union they would take I think about $8 per hour for insurance coverage. If there was a decent national health care plan and they took that money from paychecks just like the union did everybody could have coverage with no gaps regardless of employment and that is the goal. A decent person wouldn't deny an animal necessary medical treatment but humans in the USA? Sorry insurance doesn't cover. I think the reason it stays messed up is too many people are making too much money from it to change anything. Health care lobbyists and their donation money make sure the politicians on both sides of the aisle won't change it. We should do better for veterans for sure but no one should do without medical treatment in this country. That is just criminal and immoral.

[/quote] Yeah that is pretty scary. Not only is the internet full of crap now every picture you look at could very well be created out of thin air. No such thing as photographic (or video) evidence anymore. I have heard it said that the 70's were the golden age of serial killers then when cell phones and more cameras were common place they couldn't get away with it anymore and so it declined. Even more so after DNA testing. Now that no picture can be trusted what evil thing will come about? No one is held accountable anymore nothing can be trusted. |

Human history shows that as a people, we can adapt remarkably well. But I do think that AI is going to force our society to change on a scale not seen since the industrial revolution. |

I'm of the opinion that the Human Race will die out due to one of the 3 below causes
1, Slowly but surely due to Climate Change 2, Relatively quickly and painfully due to Nuclear weapons 3, Instantly when AI decide they no longer need us What's your money on? |
