The young guy who was trying to " Trogan Horse" a group of mature motorcyclists at a set of Services yesterday by asking them ignorant questions about their bikes. This an obvious faint so that he could talk about his own non existent bike.
After the riders has sussed this tactic they all collectively nodded at each other and rode off leaving just me with the Kymco. He made his approach and said " It's a 125 isn't ? " Oh just Fuck Off.

FFS. I get on a plane for 12 hours and you all ignite a discussion about immigration while I'm offline.
Pretty sure you all know better. Ironically, I just went through immigration / passport control with my Portuguese resident card for the first time. Guess that makes me an immigrant.

Well, different from why I logged in, but now I'm pissed (again) that I missed the s*#t show here. Job security for moderators I guess.
Anyway, checked my FB account, and was reminded that today should be Attila's birthday. He left us too soon.

Just opened the app for Bayek's litterbox.
I had to respond about consenting to sending me relevant sponsored content. Bro. You're where my cat poops. Our relationship goes no further than the occasional notification that your bag is full and needs swapped. My bigger question is who the hell sees that and says "you know what, I *COULD* use more deuce-based content in my email inbox, thanks China!!"

Having a two week biking tour in Spain and Portugal in perfect riding weather (apart from the smoke inhalation around Porto) and then the minute I leave the Port in England it pisses it down.

Hurricanes.
Last month, a friend was wanting to take a long ride somewhere around our home in Jacksonville. I suggested riding 140 miles to Steinhatchee for lunch at Roy's, an old seafood restaurant on the river that passes through the little gulf port town. He rode his Honda Goldwing, I rode the Big Ugly, my Yamaha Xmax. We had a tasty meal, me dining on the little scallops that famously are readily caught in the sea just offshore. Roy's was damaged by Hurricane Idalia last year but reopened in January. This week, Helene went through the area with much more force than Idalia, destroying much of the town, including leveling Roy's. Apparently Cedar Key is mostly gone too. Some of my favorite places in my home state will never be the same. This menacing storm has had a profound affect on much of the Southeast US, including Asheville, NC where we are headed for in two weeks. The size and destruction of Helene are of historic proportions. Parts of Florida are becoming unlivable. It is a real shame. Bill Roy's after the storm from a video posted by the owners.

Wow Bill, that's awful. I was just wondering this morning how all our crew were getting on with the horrendous weather you have had. I hope everyone is okay.

The video that is starting to emerge in the western Carolina Smokey mountains is absolutely devastating. Many familiar places from my 2 (and 3)-wheel trips to the wonderful playgrounds are underwater. I'm sad for the people there - many lives will be disrupted.
