more info needed. what do you want to tow and what would be the maximum total weight ?
Only a simply flat bed twin axle trailer with 750 kg max.load capacity.
It does not get much simpler/easier on the hitch or towing car.
Does not affect the issues mentioned though. Some transmission types result in a simple NoNo as does some stop&go and wiring issues apply to ány trailer.
The crux of my gripe is not that I cannot find a suiteable car but that is has become like rocket science. Even previous c. cars which in those days were totally non problematic in this aspect, nów need to be subjected to all sorts of paperwork and meet requirements.
Just about the only practical option is to buy a car which has one fitted already which in mý priorities is the world upside down.

750 kg load but what it the total weight with trailer. this is important to find a suitable vehicle that can handle the max capacity for that. example my susabru outback 2015 had a max cap of 2700 LBS and our new outback has a cap of 3500 LBS, the difference is the new one is a 2.4 turbo the old one is 2.5 normal aspirated. both are CVT.

personally I only tow weight wise at 60-70% of rated capacity now matter what. I don't like towing at max because that is extremely hard on the tow vehicle.

I think the D-rings from my helmet are the culprit. It's never happened before.

I'm hoping if I keep the seat in the sun for a bit it might relax the material and look less notable.

Good thing it's in an inconspicuous spot…

One of those days where every second vehicle on the road is trying to kill you.

Even had a car stopped at the lights in front of me put it into reverse (saw the white reverse lights).

Of course a cop tried to have a go at me earlier before they realised what i was doing was completely fine.

And a suicidal pedestrian steps of the curb just at the light goes green.

Oh yeah and the tag thing on the zip on my summer jacket just came off.

Corporate password policy.

We have an automatic 60 day password expiration. Each password has to be

15 characters
Three of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, no more than two consecutive characters and cannot include any part of our name.

Computers auto-lock after ten minutes, so it's a password that's used frequently. And reset passwords have a historical nix on them, so it's like two years before you can re-use one.

Just got the notice today I have 15 days left.

There are much better ways to secure networks than draconian password requirements. Your IT department is about 10-15 years behind the times.

I hate when they put a max character limit on passwords.

I have had two experiences recently with websites that had limits. The first one just truncated the extra characters, but didn't inform me that it had done so. When I went to login after registering, it said my password was incorrect, because I'd typed what I had initially entered, which didn't match the shorter version that the system had accepted.

The second one at least told me my choice was too long and to choose something else.

Anyway the 1200's battery dies for no obvious reason and so I turn to Ebay for a replacement so I check the specs and order a replacement.

Next day it arrives and they've sent the wrong size.

My wife knows several of his victims, personally, and worked at one of the places he's banned from. She personally saw his "essence" stain on the sheets of her coworker. Naturally the entire state is already calling it gold-digging wanna-be-famous hangers-on etc. Some have even already said "they're probably hookers anyway".

Sigh, first month of retirement has been chaotic, largely of my own doing.

But still. Decided a good time to trade in our 9 y.o. car, (Ford Escape) especially since they have a tendency for their transmissions to fail at 100Km, which we're approaching. That's a $5K repair. Anyway, as much as we like the car, we've zoned in on a new Honda CR-V hybrid. All good, we like our salesman. Got some final numbers on the deal, trade in looked better than expected, today was the day to pick it up. 6:30 am get a text from the salesman who woke up realizing he'd confused our trade in with another. After a few communications, he sends the estimate of nearly a third of the original. Not happy, especially on the last day.

So, now it's trying to decide if we just try to sell on our own. Not too thrilled, but cutting out the dealer could net us significantly more money.....

Just when I thought the chaos of the month was over.....

I'm curious. How long ago did the Salesman appraise the Ford ?

I'm not sure that I believe the story about the trade in because the details of the deal are usually written on the outside of the deal folder.

It's hard to miss which car is being traded against which.

This also means that there are two deals that have gone wrong.

What are the chances of that ?

I'm thinking that either the price of the Ford has fallen like a rock in the meantime or he's actually lying to you about the price of it because he knows you aren't going to back out.

If he's given you a quote for it and the finance has been arranged and the deposit has been taken that's their mistake and they are obliged to pay that much for the car.

Something doesn't smell right because you wouldn't write the details of the another car when the thing is sitting on their forecourt.

I'd cancel the deal because I think they are playing games.

I also find it strange that they found the issue the day before you are going to collect it.

Did you sign the contract ?

I'd walk away from the deal unless they are prepared to stick with the original contract.

They are either playing you or someone has screwed up. Either way it's their mistake so they are obliged to resolve it. Not you.

Deals off. Walk, don't go back.
