I was going to change the final drive oil on the 1200 today so I went out and bought some gear oil and cartoon like syringe to draw it out but it turns out it's a clear as a bell so it doesn't need changing.

Part 2 Another BMW driver in an M4 tried to race me today and he was doing really well when there was no traffic around, but as soon as the road turned into a 2 lane he got trapped behind a Mazda.

Why is it always Tesla and BMW owners that want to race a motorcycle ?

I get chased by German cars on the Highway each time I take the BMW out but they usually give up around 85mph which is strange.

Porsches aren't worth trying to outpace but it's mostly Tesla drivers who think they can keep up until they realise high speeds kill battery power and I have a 280 mile range.

Watch out because all the Tesla owners are now driving Polestars.

No they are not, some are embarrased to drive the "tarnished" brand and are chopping them in for a less controversial car, but most owners of Teslas realise that they stuck with a financial lemon and will drive it until it dies or keep their heads down and wait for better times.

Indeed, unfortunately most of the things you allude to are very likely to get worse before they get better.

Fricking registered my son for summer camp.

First of all, I already had an account with them. Stored password and everything. Their system said they didn't recognize my info. So I began the arduous process of making a new account. Halfway through I got the warning that the email address I was using was already registered. I KNOW THAT!

So ... I started through the update password process. Somehow, their system got my email associated with my ex's email, so each time I updated the password associated with my email address it told me the password had been updated for HER email address. GAH!

So, I registered as a new account under a different email address. More than 30 pages of registration info just for him to be pu on a waiting list because all of the sessions are full.

They actually asked how much a third party would be paying without actually listing the cost of any of the sessions.

I need a drink.

I have no photo's and no SMIDSY's involved, his lack of experience cost him as he got caught out by pot holes/ruts in the road.

Brewery was a very small one I doubt you would have heard of.

My wife just found out that funding cuts have closed our local HeadStart, assuming Advocap as well. Livid emoticon

She's not part of the organization, but her job as a children't librarian took her there once a month for story times, and the kids were always so happy and enthusiastic to see her it made her day. Looks like that's over, at least for the rest of her work life. Crying or Very sad emoticon Sad for the kids too, as they are underprivileged to start with, and early literacy has a strong correlation with success later in life. df

While I'm venting, thought my taxes were done, but no, my accountant (got passed off onto a new one by the agency) wrote back with a list of things still needed, including information I KNOW I gave to her already. I gave her my only copy of one document, so my assistance to her is to tell her to look through what I gave her.

Fucking Romania is pissing me off today.

Okay, not all of Romania, that's not fair. But the site is currently under attack from a variety of IP addresses originating in Romania. They are asking for just about every possible page on the site at a very rapid clip. Fortunately, it all originates from the same ASN, and their requests have accumulated enough strikes for that ASN that I am now rejecting everything from that ASN.

Bastards. Eperexuvic.

The stupid designs on Piaggio's MP3 headlights. If it's easy and it's standard, why not make it difficult and the opposite of everyone else and inventing pieces that no one uses? That was the thinking of the Italian who designed them.

Currently on a road trip in Utah, and yesterday morning the diesel heater wouldn't start. We were camped by the Colorado River, miles from anywhere and no cell service. 32F outside the van, 37 inside...
The fuel pump had died.

We made it into Moab, and ordered a new pump - but the earliest one could be delivered to a drop-off address is Monday.

Oh the joys of camping!

When I was in Denmark early spring windsurfing trip, and of course no heater. And chilly nights.
So, my first was to make a pile of stones over my cooker, after a while as I was reading a book there was strange whisssh-sounds. Put light off and red lines flew around a cabin. Those stones broke in heat and srapnells flew around.
Kicked that system out.

Then i pulled a big black plastic bag over my sleeping bag, and yes, plenty warm night, slept well, but: yes, bag was quite wet in the morning and did not dry during next day.

The final solution? I boiled 2 litres a water and that to my pump-thermos. And at night, I pumped some to plastic brandy bottle, and that down to my feet. Oh that was warm. And after 3 hours, it was no warming anymore, so that cooled water out of window and new pumping to that bottle, and that was enough to manage nicely to morning.

That is my strategy still, when going to our summer-cottage, which keeps the stowes warmth about 15 minutes

I went through caffeine withdrawal every weekend for about three months before Mrs Syd and I figured it out. Caffeine withdrawal is not to be fooled with, as people have died of it.
