I noticed my Vespa fell on its side in my driveway while on the centerstand. I'm still confused how it dropped, however I saw on a forum that leaving the cover on during winds can cause it to tip over. It was only down for about an hour but I noticed scratches, the foot peg broken off, and more importantly the front brake lever bent. I went on a short ride just to see if braking works, which is does just with very minor squeaking. I'm thinking of trying install a new lever but is that all I need? Do I just get the lever itself or the whole hydraulic system if needed.

Welcome to MV!

The cover is like a sail in the wind. Is your driveway slightly sloping? And if so, how did you park (uphill or downhill)?

As already confirmed, you will only need the brake lever (and the footrest for the pillion passenger). There are plenty of instructions here in the forum on how to remove the handlebar cover (or have a look on Robots Video
Good luck!

Thank you! My driveway is very straight but I definitely see how the cover could've pulled it. I see in the video that he removes the handlebar cover if installing the lever perch. Is replacing the lever perch necessary or can I undo one screw for just the lever.

As stated before: only the lever (believe that the perch is not damaged). I linked the video because it describes work to get access.
