Sadly, the Vespa is gone. Current machines: 2013 BMW R1200R, 2026 Royal Enfield 650 Classic (the pretty teal one).

But you have to remember that my comment is from someone who bought a Vespa based first and foremost on the machine's classic, clean, and traditional styling, and fortunately, liked it's mechanical characteristics as a secondary consideration after the fact. Does this make me a shallow person? |

It looks to me like they took all the plastics off of a maxiscooter and then tried to dress up what was left with some shiny trim.
Put another way, it wasn't designed so much as it was congealed. |

I think that they should have named it the Italjet 'Entropy' to give a clever nod to the bike's aesthetic journey from potential order to certain chaos...maybe spelling it with an 'i' instead of a 'y' to make it a bit more 'edgy'...if that's even possible.
I will admit, however, that for excessively complicated styling, it could give the Triumph 'Bug-Eyed Shrapnel' model a run for the money with their eye-shredding masterwork of optical buggery (fine machine that it undoubtedly is).

What part of this machine makes it a scooter out of interest?
Not step through No running boards Chain driven Foot operated six-speed transmission Big (ish) wheels It just looks like something both bikers and scooterists can hate on Maybe if my name was Kevin Flynn.. ⚠️ Last edited by fleece on UTC; edited 1 time

No thanks. That thing couldn't run well enough, nor fast enough, for me to consider. I'm fine where I am.
