Hi everyone.

I'm currently renovating a 2004 ET2, the question I have is around a missing button on the dashboard.

Basically it's the one located on the top right…..there currently isn't anything there and to be honest I can't see any loose wires either.

I've done the usual internet search and some people are saying it should be headlights and others saying a kill switch.

Any advice would be amazing.

Thanks

Paul

Looking at the link you've sent maybe not them and just a blanking plate.

As I've said, I can't see a spare plug that a switch would connect too.

My guess is if there is no wiring, then there was a blank in that space. Normally, the kill switch goes in that area. I believe the headlights are always on the other side.

That's the usual position for the kill switch. Perhaps it's been bypassed.

Thanks, that's really helpful.

I'll see if I can find a wiring diagram, maybe that will shed some light onto why there's no wires (and maybe help me see if it's been bypassed).

At least I know I'm looking for a kill switch!

Thanks again

The EU model ET had a light on/off switch 293571 on the right side and the high low beam switch 294877 on the left.

So the plot thickens……I've taken the panel off and there definitely no wires there to plug into. It also doesn't look like anything has been chopped!

Any ideas?

While I would feel confident in Motovista's expertise here, I have read in a few places that various EU models did not have a kill switch.

That being said, the link I sent in my previous post seems to show a blank in that space and no callout for a button function. Dunno!

This is likely what was originally in that space.

On north American models this is the kill switch.
