It is with great sorrow I am informing you that Ralph Blackford aka ponydrvr passed away last night after a long illness. Ralph was always ready to lend a hand, give advice or crack a joke. He was a member on MV since 2008.

Ralph was a fixture at the MP3 gatherings and even went to the most recent one last September in KY even though he was not riding just to hang out with old friends. He was a friend and mentor to many of us and he will be missed. Rest in peace brother.
This is the last pic I took of Ralph and his wife. It is from our most recent Gathering at Natural Bridge State Park in KY. Ralph drove over just to hang out with the group.

Seems like there is more of this going on as I get older. It is tough to loose
old riding friends that you shared such great experiences with.

Ralph was a good friend to us all. He will be missed deeply. We had many a meal together and many miles on the road. He was also our support driver in 2018 for that Scootercannonball from Morro bay to Virginia Beach.

Ralph will be missed and long remembered as a great friend. I am thankful he made it to September Gathering for one more time of good fellowship. He didn't just attend gatherings he helped arrange them and planned some rides going back more than 10 years.
