can someone tell exactly what i need to purchase to get my bike running again?
ive been reading about replacing the ignition switch?

you'll need a CDI and key set

cheapest and easiest is an aftermarket CDI, then you eliminate the immobilizer function and can use a cheaper key set.

and then you'll code the keys to the cdi.

another option is to pull your CDI and send it to AF1 to be reset and coded to a set of keys, but with the cost of that and shipping I think you're about even stevens on buying new parts.

One of our good US parts suppliers, they also offer a reasonably priced reset service for most CDIs and ECUs, to put them back to either factory settings or re-programmed to new keys etc.
