Maybe there is such discussion already, but I couldn't find one. My question is will Beverly 300 M28 engine fit in Vespa 300 2018? Quick comparison in parts catalog suggest that they use many similar parts like cylinder and piston, crankshaft, cylinder head and cover, valves, camshaft, rocker arms, oil pump, water pump and cover, reduction unit cover and bearings etc. are the same. Reduction unit gears are different, stator and rotor have different part nr., Crankcase part nr. is different but bearings and other parts have the same numbers, probably there are some small differences in the casing.
Am I missing something important? Could the different stator potentially cause some errors?

The parts are mostly the same (at least on my 250). The major difference is going to be the length of the engine case itself. It is longer on the Beverly and won't fit in a Vespa. Belt, swingarm, shock mount points, etc. will all be different because of it. Final drive gearing is also different.
The stator difference could just be because of a slightly different water pump cover. This has changed over the years and even during a single model year. It has caused at least one member here considerable grief.
