New to me scooter. cleaned carb 2 times. new air filter, new plug, new petcock. Idles great with mixture screw from 1 to 3-1/2 turns. Twist throttle very slowly, works pretty well. Bogs with quick twist. runs best at 3-1/2 turns but seems like a lot of turns (haven't tried more turns yet). . research is showing 1-3/4 to 2-1/2 turns . Accelerator pump was squirting when I was cleaning. If I press it while idling, engine dies a little, but doesn't increase after. Anything I'm missing? I have plenty of experience with honda scooters, new to italian scoots.

bought it in pieces, not sure what orig issue was. I removed evap. hose off intake is plugged with a bolt. had to replace brake cable, master cylinder, caliper. guessing it was sitting for a bit. odometer read 4k, but speedometer isn't working at the moment. sprayed carb cleaner while idling, no change. Don't believe I have vacuum leak.

FIXED. I guess 3rd time was the charm. cleaned carb 1 more time. When I removed mixture screw this time, washer and o-ring were stuck on needle, so I cleaned needle real good (had tiny scores around it that washer was hung up on) I carefully cleaned it with 0000 steel wool and cleaner. running like a champ. Also worked the idle jet really good (ordered a 38 to be installed
later) Hopefully will help somebody else.

Good man. When ever I read " I cleaned the carb" in a post, it doesn't tell much of story. I usually recommend stripping it completely down and running it in a sonic cleaner. Spraying carb cleaner all over the place might get you there, but it's so easy to miss something. Glad you got it sorted.
