When yous guy have used a smoke tested to see if you got a leak in your main seal did you see a lot of smoke or a bit of smoke. Here's a video that of a test I did. I didn't see smoke but I'm not sure what to look for. Lots or a bit ?

Hey Shep - something I noticed - be careful with that woodruff key! It's upside down and just waiting to fall right into your engine case!!!!!

And even without a smoke tester, I've found leaks pretty quickly with just listening, or a bit of soap and water in a spray bottle.

All my leaks, even the tiny ones, have been pretty apparent with this method, unless your test apparatus is leaking - dooohhhh! Razz emoticon

Yes I did notice it as I was doing the video. I turned the crank around after so it's on the top now.

Yep, and then just dried with a rag and spritzed some oil on the whole area....

Someone on another forum just told me the fibre gaskets smoke abit at first so it might be just that. I didn't go for a ride to clear it. 😆
