OK, my MP3 has sat in the garage the last year without being started, now that its getting cooler wanted to start riding again. Charged the battery, it was dead. Now it sounds like it wants to start, but just won't.

Any advice on where to start?

What dash-board lights or other lighting come on when the key is inserted and turned?

Does it make any sounds such as a fuel-pump spinning up, starter, relay-clicks, etc?

You've already charged the battery, so that leaves things like bad-fuel, electrical faults, mechanical (fuel pump) or something else.

Lots of threads on the topic with solutions covering all the major culprits with a few successful recovery stories.

If the battery was left discharged for more than a few hours or days, then it is toast for sure - it will have eff-all capacity and even if it reads 12.6V at rest, it will go way, way down as soon as you try to draw much current.

Replace with a new one, and don't leave the new one neglected like that!
