I owned a '13 BV350 for a number of years. An excellent bike, and the evap system functioned well all the time I owned it. My impression was that the evap system on the BV350 is actually a better design than on the Vespas because the the gas tank is placed much lower. The only reason I would expect problems would be if there was a real tank venting issue - a plugged tube, a stuck valve, or a significant amount of gas in the charcoal cannister.

Im guessing you didn't have problems.Everyone on here said take if off.
If the canister gets gas in it. I'm told causes all sorts of problems.
All the problems I had are gone.

You don't have to guess. I said I didn't have any problems with the evap system on my BV. Actually, I have owned 8 Piaggio and Vespa scooters with an evap system. Never had any trouble with any of them that could be traced to the evap system and I never disconnected the system on any of them. On the other hand, if your evap system WAS causing you problems and disconnecting it solved your problem - more power to you.

There's no need for anyone to get holier than thou about the Evap Crap. If there's no problem, fine, leave it alone. If there's a problem that seems like it's caused by it, remove it, fine.

The biggest reason to take the evap out of a BV350 is that it takes a huge amount of underseat space.
