Mine are cattle-trucked! Anyone know if they're the same as the PX125 type, or some weird LML exclusive?

Huh, learn something new every day if you're paying sttention! Thanks for clearing that up for me, I was trying to imagne any possible connection & soon just gave up

I think Vespa 150 mounts fit according to this: https://www.scootermercato.com/Scooter-Parts/Buffer/SPRINTBUFFERS but have no hands on experience. If you've removed the old ones, post up a picture

I work for a Brit firm and hear that stuff daily. Typically, I end up googling it and feeling stupid.

Thanks! The list shown on that page also includes the P-range, so I guess that means they're the same across most models, including LML.

Great! The LML originals have lasted 14 years (but only around 5k miles at a guess) and have now pretty much disintegrated. I'll be back with more bad language when I'm trying to fit the replacements

Do some searching here for motor mount/buffer replacement unless you're a masochist.

If you have a piece of threaded rod and some large fender washers, you can use those to install the new mounts.

Opinions vary on how best to remove mounts.

The first time I tried to remove my Stella mounts, they were completely frozen into the tubes by rust. I wound up cutting the mounting bolt to get the motor out, then getting progressively more violent from there. Hopefully you won't have to do anything that drastic, though.

I recently did this job on my 200 using a heat gun, PB blaster, threaded rod and a few blunt instruments of opportunity.

The hardest part was getting the new ones in. Cleaned out and greased the case tube and used a file to put a bevel on the rubber to help it ease into the case. A little poking with a big punch and flat blade screwdriver to get the leading edges of the rubber into the case as I tightened the threaded rod. After that, they go right in.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think I also read that compressing the rubber with cable ties then putting them in the freezer also helps.

The instructions on the BGM mounts that I've just fitted said to coat them in talc and tap them in with a mallet, it worked way better than I expected.

I've ordered the same. I've a feeling that removing the originals will be the more challenging part of the operation.

From what i remember to remove the Stella engine mounts from the swing arm..

You have to first grind out the swedge that's in the main tube. Use a propane torch and get the steel center tube good and hot until the rubber starts smoking and popping. Then twist it out with a pair of channel locks. To remove the rubber from the swingarm, get the aluminum good and hot with the torch. Then jam a screwdriver between the rubber and the aluminum and squirt some wd40 in there. Then pry the whole rubber portion out. It's never taken me more than a few minutes to remove both sides.

Stupid question, but what's a swedge?

IMHO absolutely easy job. Not need heating or freezing.

I mounted it on LML 125cc reed engine without any problems. I mounted it on my P150X.

And this also will fit.

So any P/PX 80-150cc will fit on to LML. Two piece type is easy for mounting.
But before mount it on case better to check how it fit to the chassis. I was need to grind down metal tubes few times.

It's those 4 indentations that are peened into the long hollow tube. It crimping the metal washer to the tube.

You need to grind down tube(red) and then take off spacer(green).

Well, that's a job i hope I won't need to do again for a while!

I used a combination of the various methods previously mentioned. Difficult to say which was the most successful, but I'd probably go with the G-clamp against the central cut-out section of the swingarm. A few turns of that forced the metal tube out just enough to be able to get some molegrips on it so that I could wrestle it out. The (already-butchered) rubbers came out easily afterwards.

Fitting the new mounts was fairly straightforward. The larger side needed a few good whacks with The Persuader whereas the smaller side went almost all the way in with just a good push of the fingers. I used a threaded rod and washers to pull the two sides together. One thing to mention is that I found BGM's advise to use talc to be completely useless. A light smearing of tyre soap set the mounts on their merry way instead.
