I'm going with the City grips 2 for my 2016 Sprint 3vie. It has 110/70X 12 on it now. Can I go to a 130/70X12 ? Any advantage or disadvantages? Do most motorcycle shops know how to change Vespa tires or is a dealer recommended?
Thanks

Quote: Can I go to a 130/70X12 ? Does your bike have clearance for that? Grab a measuring tape. If yes, yes. If no, no. I would assume the answer is no. You would also need to consider what the maximum size tire width your rim is designed for account for. Quote: Any advantage or disadvantages? You might be able to go over bumps better, might have slightly worse handling, personally I don't even think it would fit so I think the whole thing is a moot point. Just fitted these to a GTS, front 120/70-12 58P & Rear 140/70-12 65P Continental Conti Twist, But as adri says measure first and more to the point make sure the dealer can balance themππ.

in the back you can go to a 130, up front I think it rubs. also, the wider tire in the front makes the steering feel slow and clunky.

This is the first time I've had tire questions. The tires on my Sprint seem to be mushy. They are Savas and I check them for the proper psi, but to me they don't perform as well as my other Vespas.

The tire dealer I called said that he can't get the City grip 2 in the 110X70X12 for the front tire on my 2016 Sprint 150. But he did say that he could get a 110X90X12. Does anybody know if that will fit ok? He seemed to think that it would, I not the best at tire sizes.
Thanks |

Checked J&P out of stock on the 110x70x12. Cycle gear online says they have them, but when I called they said never carried them.
Thanks |

90 is fairly tall, I'd strongly recommend the stock size.
ebay and amazon are other options for getting ahold of one in the right size. |

I bought a CG2 110/70-12 from Cycle Gear and it was delivered to me on Monday so they do have them.
I didn't need the back tire as that is the same as the front tire on my GTS 250 and I had 2 of them here. |
