Hello all

My 2018 Primavera 150 is due for a tire replacement next summer. Instead of replacing the 11" tires, I'm looking into switching it over to 12" wheels like those on the sprint.

I'm located in Canada but have access to a US shipping address living near the border. Can anyone recommend a North American site that sells compatible wheels? Searching online only yielded the usual euro sites like SIP which come with heavy duty and shipping fees. I'd be happy with a set of 12" sprint wheels or an aftermarket set.

Thanks

I'd try ebay and offer up/craig's list and see if you can score a used set. you'd likely save a ton of cash that way and maybe score something close to home.

they don't list them, but Scooterpartsco can likely get whatever rims you're looking for at a reasonable price and their shipping is very fair.

A set of 12" Sprint or Primavera rims are about $200-250, depending on which ones you choose. The Black and Silver Sprint rims are less expensive than the solid silver ones, and the Primavera rims can be even less, depending. Any 12" Vespa front rim will work in front, but the rear is a little tricky, because of the drum brake. You can likely use any 3.0 x 12 Piaggio rim for drum brake, because the Primavera and Sprint use the same larger brake shoes than the LX and other earlier bikes.
Piaggio 668013 and 669143 are likely your best bets in terms of cost and widespread availability. The pair should be about $200 for both rims, or about $100 each, and we usually get them in 1-2 weeks after ordering them.
The rims that came on the 50cc Sprint and later Primavera will also work. The rear rim that fits the 50cc two stroke Primavera and Sprint are not going to work, so make sure that if you buy used rims overseas, they didn't come off a two stroke.

You may have to change the center stand.
