I've been partial to the Stebel air horn, and have added them to my Buddy 170i, and the Vespa GT200 and GTS250s I've owned. I just swapped the GTS250s for a new '23 GTS300 and '23 Primavera 150, and would like to continue use of the louder Stebel horns. The reliable parts guy at one of my nearby shops tells me that the Stebel is a challenge to install in these scooters, and suggests rethinking that choice.

Has anyone here added an upgraded horn to a '23 GTS or Primavera, and how painful (or not) was that process?

Thanks,

Bob

nice thing about a stebel air horn is you can separate the horn from the air compressor this way you can install them apr from each other and get them into smaller areas they can fit in.

Bob,

I like the horn too and had one on my 2006 GTS. People really noticed you when they heard it. I now have a 2022 GTS and try as I might even after separating the unit I could not find a place I was comfortable installing it. I tried it like the guys suggested in the video below but for mee it was just too hard on the ABS pump for my liking. If you figure out a way please take pictures or make a video.

remove the stock horn and place the stebel horn only there, then run a air line to wherever you place the compressor. the guy in the video shows there is plenty of room for the compressor only where he place his complete unit.

I'm consulting my local Vespa mechanics, I have two shops within a relatively short drive. Hopefully they can offer some useful input, which I will happily share. I also have an '06 GT which has the Stebel horn, and I love how it grabs drivers' attention.

Thanks,

Bob
