Hi all

Anyone know the process to increase the rear shock preload on the new MP3 530? It has a thread rather than the set positions I am used to. Cant seem to find any instructions.

As the pillion seat is so far back, the front end feels very light and less controllable when my wife is on the back at low speeds.

Looks like two disc's ( nuts) locked together, to keep your setting.
Like a pair of "lock nuts"
Rotate the bottom one down to break the contact.....then tighten top one to increase preload.
Once done, lock setting by bringing bottom disc/nut up to contact the top one.
Snug bottom one up into top one....locks uour setting.

But just my take....

Thank you, just tried it and seems similar although the measurements are not the same for the 530 as the 500. I increased the distance to 90mm from about 83mm and will test it out. I'll have to ask the dealer what the range of adjustment is since I dont think a 530 service manual is available yet.

Most welcome, I would go by the bit by bit approach till it feels right for you, given we all have different weights, on our scoots and topcases.

If you find a service manual and or wiring diagram, please email them to me so I can include them on the manuals website - as in the www link at the bottom of this post.
