On the handle bars, left side. Or on the leg shield, left side is best.

Oxford Pro heated grips have the switch integrated into the left hand grip. It's very neat (but costs more to buy).

He said switch, not controller. That makes me think he bought the scooter specific grips. Not having MP3 myself I wouldn't know where to put the switch.
