GTS 300 2023 fuel tank capacity is 9.2 liters and 2021 model is 8.5 liters. Is it possible to install 2023 fuel tank on 2021 model?

Where did you see 9.2 litres? My 2023 handbook says 8.5, and when I looked up the specifications online I found 8.3!

Maybe those are imperial litres.

according to piaggio manuals and tech specs that I can find:

the 2023 and the pre-2023 HPE have 8.5 (ref tech specs pdfs on vespa.com)

gts 300 e4 says 8.5 +/- 0.5 in user manual

gts 300 e3 says approx 9.2 in user manual and workshop manual

I would suggest that whomever told you that the 2023 has 9.2 is wrong.

This all seems highly suspect to me. I'm more inclined to believe that Piaggio (or some intermediary) has mis-stated the capacity, e.g. by not subtracting the volume of the fuel pump.

(Or something equally silly).

do a part number comparison between them, you probably will find them the same number.

According to my copies of the parts manuals, the 2015 and E4 models use part 656010 and the E5 uses 621582. Just been examining the tanks on my two scooters, and from what I can see the tanks look identical. But my 2023 model is Vietnamese E4.

I don't know why but my full km fuel calculation is only 230km, my friend's was 280km, his Vespa is GTS300 2023. I don't know the actual capacity, I just google it 😅

I have done 269km on my 2019 without running out. (But I was scared I wouldn't make it)
