Looking through the MV General Discussion and Ride Reports, I find very few posts about what I like best about owning scooters.
Riding them.
While this year changed with the passing of Lostboater, I lost riding with him on his wonderful adventures.
But I still rode almost every day, adding up to over 14,000 miles on scooters.
My riding with the 7 Bridges Scooter Club was limited by frequent travels and work.
But I got in a few good rides.
Two big ones in March.
I hauled Razzo, my 2005 Vespa GT to New Orleans for the Crescent City Crawl. Met others from the Vespa Club del Mediterraneo and gad a great time riding around that great city.
One week later we had the 7 Bridges Scooter Club's annual Bridges Ride. It started with a gathering at the now closed Lemonstreet Brewery. Everyone broke up into three groups with three different destinations for Saturday rides. I led a large group to Fernandina Beach. Sunday, I led another large group around the route crossing the seven major bridges in Jacksonville.
June I crossed the country in the Scooter Cannonball Run.
September found us in France for a two week ride around Provence.
Looking forward to a few big rides in 2024, but also just hopping on a scooter for little rides around town.
