Looking through the MV General Discussion and Ride Reports, I find very few posts about what I like best about owning scooters.

Riding them.

While this year changed with the passing of Lostboater, I lost riding with him on his wonderful adventures.

But I still rode almost every day, adding up to over 14,000 miles on scooters.

My riding with the 7 Bridges Scooter Club was limited by frequent travels and work.

But I got in a few good rides.

Two big ones in March.

I hauled Razzo, my 2005 Vespa GT to New Orleans for the Crescent City Crawl. Met others from the Vespa Club del Mediterraneo and gad a great time riding around that great city.

One week later we had the 7 Bridges Scooter Club's annual Bridges Ride. It started with a gathering at the now closed Lemonstreet Brewery. Everyone broke up into three groups with three different destinations for Saturday rides. I led a large group to Fernandina Beach. Sunday, I led another large group around the route crossing the seven major bridges in Jacksonville.

June I crossed the country in the Scooter Cannonball Run.

September found us in France for a two week ride around Provence.

Looking forward to a few big rides in 2024, but also just hopping on a scooter for little rides around town.

Bill - That's a year well spent! Sorry for your loss though.

Did my 25 days riding across Italy. I'll probably start sharing content on it next month. Have another project to get through first.

Other than it was the usual daily rider thing... downtown/inner city road warrior type deal. I was pretty focused on work because I wanted to make 12 months of pay in 11 months of work to make up for my month off.

All in all a great year for me.

Bill,

That's a neat P-82 decal on Razzo's top case!

Kinda glad the truck needed a clutch in 2023, it got me back in the saddle more. You just can't beat wind therapy! Hoping to get more scoots back in fighting trim for 2024 so I'll ride even more.

You really ought to get those scooters out and ride more, Bill! Razz emoticon

Sounds like it's been a good year. Not my best here, but still had it's moments. Some local rides, and still commuting. The small group ride to the Keweenau was nice, but Kraig's rear bearing going out after his first day with us put a damper on things, followed by retreating a day early to avoid hitting thunderstorms didn't help.

Wisconscoot went well, with a smaller than usual group, and Ken's crash en route dampened things again.

Missed Warren (wmak) a lot last year.

Let's see about 2024. Nothing like sitting around in winter to come up with ideas!

I have pretty much restricted my scooter riding to group rides with my local group Minn-Max Scooters of Minnesota. I still got out around the neighborhood, but, mostly our monthly Day Rides (Usually about 250 Miles) and our annual four day extended ride. I regret, due to scheduling, I had to miss Dave's Wisconscoot.

My gang meets again in March to plan our monthly destination rides for this new year. Everyone is welcome - if you go online to Minn-Max Meetup.com you can snoop in on scheduled rides. If you join (no dues) you will get email notices of every ride.

Have a good Winter everyone.

Early in the year 2023 was mostly butt conditioning rides getting ready for the cannonball where I live that was something like head over to Tellico Plains, turn east on the Cherohala stop for lunch or snack and return home via Tail of the Dragon. Over to Bluee Ridge, up to Virginia and Kentucky for a multi day ride I also headed to the Seven Bridges weekend where I had dinner with Bill and WDVLTALK and others for around 6,000 miles so I could get a full service done on my GTS before heading to California for the cannonball. Then there was Battlescoiter's annual Maggie Valley ride and the Fall Gathering in Kentucky.
