does this mean socalguy's red bike will again be the bearer of a transported engine, or do you have a new plan this year? inquiring minds want to know...

Nothing so radical this time around. It was a fun stunt, but not worth the pain, expense, and stress it ultimately turned out to be.

Anything is possible, but the current plan is something at least stock-ish...

ohh, that's a tough one. it might be in the throes of getting the dump bed installed. BUT, it'll definitely make it there and back-- it'll just likely bankrupt me in fuel cost!

a likely ham bet would be one functioning bike by ROM. maybe two...

Which rally in CA has the biggest turnout of NSM scoots?

May have to get serious about some TLC for the unicorn over next few weeks.
I am on the same cable outers as when I first built.
They are almost as gravelee as my knees.

Mystery air leak doesn't bother for local messing around - but IK myself well enough - throttle will be used un-expeditiously at rally.

Looking for a way to get my scooter up there… totally willing to contribute to gas funds, beer funds, whatever. I have no carrier and I'm trading in my minivan, the new one may or may not have a receiver when it's time to go… help!

You should wait six weeks to trade in the minivan. Added bonus is that since it's going away, you won't feel bad if something happens to it during the trip.

One of the valves isn't seating, it's going to auction. Wife needs reliable transportation.

You should get her a scooter.

No receiver = remove seats, roll in scoot, tie down, drive north.

Been there, done that. I used to have a Honda Element and one of the things I loved about it was the ability to roll scooters into the back for transport. The vinyl flooring made cleaning up afterwards easy, too.

The P is really sketchy to get into the Honda, I did that way back when when i got the P200. It's tall and wants to hit the headliner on the way in, leaving you no hand room to hold the bike.

I will have to buy a receiver anyway, just for the bike hauler we use.

Looking like I will borrow socalguy's carrier and install a receiver to new van.
