Hello all, I'm a new GTS owner, interested in doing some retirement touring. I've looked around for hitch information, not much out there. The only one I saw that I liked was posted about 10 years ago by "davebiker" on this forum. Heres the link to it.

vespa 300ie super inder trailer hitch

Just wondering if davebiker was to make a new one would there be any change to the layout.

Did anyone else pick up this design and produce one for themselves.

Thanks for any input you can provide!

Dave

I know of two single-track trailers for a Vespa, the original PAV (Czech manufacturer from the 1950/1960s) and the PAV-look-alike from the German manufacturer Legend Bikes:

You rarely get original PAV trailers, the condition is usually lousy. A frequently mentioned source is: http://www.krajansky.wz.cz/?p=2&c=17 However, I have no experience with this dealer.

Here you will find photos of a trailer coupling for a PAV on an original pillion holder of a GTS:

Here is another link to a DIY project for a Vespa trailer:

Thanks for the links germanGTSdriver, I believe I have seen those, but now the links are in one spot.

Was hoping that someone could give some feedback on this, I guess that gts trailer hitch gear is too niche a topic.

It's pretty niche, but still interesting. If you do find further information, please feel free to post it here.

Around the German forum there are some with trailers. You can also post there (also in English or use translator like https://www.deepl.com): https://www.vespaforum.de. If you choose this option, please note that in Germany a trailer coupling must fulfill special requirements and a technical approval (TÜV) must be carried out before use, things that will therefore be irrelevant for you.

Moving on to the next stage of these enquiries, building. Thread in projects, though its likely to be a slow process due to work obligations.

Yes please!

I'm very much in search of a PAV-alike.

Inder seems to have gone away.
