Not a fan of wraps. I've seen boats, planes and cars with them and they didn't look good at all close up. Over time they seem to start peeling. Don't know if they trap moisture but that would bug me too. Maybe here by me the people aren't so good at applying them.π€·πΌββοΈ

NightWing wrote: Has anyone done a wrap on their Vespa instead of a repaint? The compound curves are really hard to get smooth, and tended to lift if the bodywork warmed up in the sun. You'll need a hair dryer and lots of patience. Paint is easier. As an aside, you might try one of the rubberized, removable paints, like Duplicolor Custom Wrap. Tons of color choices, metallics, mattes, candy, etc. Goes on easy, looks good, and you can peel it off with a shop rag if you don't like it or want to change your look. |

To get a meaningful answer, you're probably going to have to ask a better question. Are you looking to spruce up your 15 year old scooter while expressing yourself? Is the paint all chipped and dinged, and you're sick of looking at it? Are you looking to do this yourself, or are you parting with your hard earned money leaving the finesse to a professional? Check out what Christiana had done to her Buddy with a wrap.

I have done wraps on a few motorcycles and car hoods. On bikes, the hard part is the gas tank, of course. The key is to take you time and buy the best material for the job. I liked using 3M products for the quality and ease of use..

I have nothing to wrap. I just was curious if anyone had wrapped their scooter in lieu of repainting. My son had his 1985 Toyota Supra wrapped with blue and silver, matching the original colors. It looks absolutely flawless. It cost $3,000.

Not sure if anybody mentioned this, but if you put on a wrap get it off within four or five years. Otherwise it is an absolute nightmare to get off.

Thought about doing one I have, So actually contacted the manufacturer and sent an Image of the scooter, who said there are different grade films and would want the one that stretched the most to do acute angles and If I had not done it before I wouldn't find it easy, saying the hard part would be the side panels up and around and under the seat area they even sent a sample to have a go with and gave it up as a bad Idea.
So sent a small part off the scooter with it being quite old to get a color match and sprayed itππ |

Not exactly what OP is asking, but I did do a wrap on my BV a few months after I got it. I liked it. It's a pita though.

A few months back my wife sold her Hello Kitty pillow she got in Japan. If I knew I would have sent it to you for the collection!
